Steps to Flash with QPST:

1. Install QPST:

   • Download the QPST software and install it on your PC. This usually includes QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader), which is used to flash firmware.

2. Install Qualcomm USB Drivers:

   • Install Qualcomm drivers so that the device can be detected by your PC.

3. Prepare the Firmware:

   • Obtain the correct firmware for your device. The firmware may be in multiple parts (e.g., AP, bootloader, system). Sometimes, the  comes in an archive that needs to be extracted.

4. Boot Device into EDL Mode:

   • For many Qualcomm devices, flashing is done in EDL (Emergency Download Mode). To enter EDL mode:
     • Power off the device.
     • Hold the appropriate key combination or use a deep flash cable to force the device into EDL mode (the key combination may vary by device).

5. Launch QPST and QFIL:

   • Open QPST Configuration and make sure the device is in the QPST Software.
   • Open QFIL (Qualcomm Flash Image Loader) within QPST.

6. Load the Firmware Files:

   • In QFIL, click on the “Browse” button to select the firmware files. You may need to load the “prog_emmc_firehose” file (this is the loader file), and then the primary firmware file (such as the .mbn or .elf file).

7. Select the Port:

   • In QPST, go to “Ports” and make sure the device is detected.

8. Start Flashing:

   • Once everything is set, click “Download” in QFIL to start flashing the firmware to the device. The flashing process will take several minutes, depending on the size of the firmware.
   • Important Notes:

• Backup Data: Flashing firmware can erase all data on the device. It’s recommended to back up any important files before flashing.
• Correct Firmware: Ensure you are using the correct firmware version specific to your device model. Using the wrong firmware can result in device bricking or malfunction.
• Battery: Ensure your device has sufficient battery or is connected to a charger during the flashing process.
